Index Words:  haystack, pose, child, women, rakes
Place:  England
Notes:  The white-bearded Rector of West Heslerton, Yorkshire, the Reverend Joseph Henry Hutton, poses with his family and other workers on and by a haystack in progress. The boy at the top of the ladder is his son Jack; two women at the bottom hold rakes. The women on the wagon at right without tools are the rector's second wife and his older son's fiancee. Like most country parsons, Hutton owned a few cows and horses, and it was cheaper to grow the hay to feed them.
